Rails Girls Summer of Code - Quick tips to write a great application?

I thought of writing this because I saw many of you struggling with your application. But Now?? I know, it is too late..  So I'll share some important points to be mentioned in your application. I hope this will be helpful, although it is the last minute.

1. Mention your experience in programming, add GitHub links of your projects (If you have experiences in the technologies that are used in the projects you have chosen, then that will be a plus point)

2. Your plan for each project choice should be a detailed and attractive one. (Show your interest)

3. When adding coaches, choose some people who have experience in your projects' technologies and languages. We had 6 coaches. So adding more coaches will not be a problem. (RGSoC consider whether the coaches can help you effectively).

4. Mention your community involvements and show that you have communication skills and like to network with others (Meetups, Volunteering, conferences, hackathons, etc.)

5. If you're studying, say how you are going to manage studies with your project works. (This is very Important !!!)

6. Show that you and your teammate can work together without any problem. (Mention that you can work together in one place and 40 hours a week - Important!!!)

Good luck with RGSoC 2018!
